Welcome to Our Newest Instructors

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Bri Chan and Wilhelmina Marks, our newest instructors joining us this season!

Wilhelmina Marks is originally from Mansfield, Ohio, where she began her dance training at the Richland Academy of the Arts, studying ballet, modern, jazz, and tap under Marden Ramos and Sarah Horrigan-Ramos. She graduated in 2021 from Wright State University with a BFA in Dance. During her undergraduate years, Wilhelmina was a member of the Dayton Ballet’s Second Company (2017-2018) and the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Second Company (2018-2020). Since graduating, she has danced with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company as an apprentice (JB Fellow) from 2021 to 2024. In the summer of 2023, she joined the Dayton Dance Initiative as a company dancer. Her performance experience spans major cities including Chicago, New York City, Pittsburgh, and across Ohio, as well as Indiana and Kentucky. In 2023, Wilhelmina also interned with Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, where she had the opportunity to perform with the company.

Brianna Chan (Bri). Is originally from Columbus Ohio, but currently lives in Dayton Ohio. Bri is currently a student at Wright State University where she is working on obtaining her BFA in Dance along with her BS in Biomedical Engineering! This will be Bri’s 19th year of dancing bringing along with her 5 years of instructor experience. Bri started dancing at the age of 3 and entered competition dance at age 9. Bri now spends her time at school and performing in several dance concerts with Wright State throughout the year. She is so excited to meet all of our Center Stage students!

2024 Nationals Fan Favorite

Our senior competition team earned fan favorite at Beyond the Stars 2024 nationals. We also had several routines place in the overalls awards and all of our dances received platinum awards. We are so proud of our competition team!

Named 2023 Best of Springboro Dance School

We are honored to be named the 2023 Best of Springboro for dance school/education by the Springboro Award Program. Our passion is to bring fun and quality dance instruction to our community. This is an honor and a wonderful way to start off our 40th year in business. Thank you to all of our dance families and students!

About Us

Center Stage is a locally owned and operated dance studio located in the heart of Springboro, OH. Tammy Longworth the studio director had a dream at the age of 16 to open a dance studio, and with the support of her mom and co-owner Beckie Harding, Tammy was able to open the doors to Center Stage in 1983. Center Stage was first opening in Waynesville, OH and later moved to Springboro. We are so excited to now be located at the Springboro Performing Arts Center (PAC). With this new facility we are able to provide our community with dance education, dance competition teams, and several performances throughout the year.

We pride ourselves by helping children of all ages and stages of life create, achieve, and explore through the art of dance.

The Center Stage Experience

Monthly Student Progress Reports

At Center Stage we are so excited to offer monthly progress reports for each of our classes. We have specific goals and techniques students will work on in each of our class curriculum, and we will be offering a monthly update to students and parents to show the progress throughout the season. These will be completed by the instructors and provided to the parents and students on a monthly basis. We feel this is a great way to track all that students will learn in their classes throughout the year.

Instructors

At Center Stage all of our instructors are either bringing 30+ years of dance experience to their classes, have obtained their Bachelors of Fine Art in Dance, or are currently working on obtaining their Bachelors of Fine Art in Dance. We pride ourselves in employing working industry professional as instructors for all of our classes.

Winter and Spring Shows

At Center Stage our students get to perform in a winter show, as well as, our Spring Recital. We love getting to offer our students multiple performance opportunities throughout the season.
